Sunday 19th September saw the first round of this annual competition between a mixed youth team and a mixed vetereran team. It was clear from the opening whistle that the vets would need to work hard to come away with some semblance of dignity. Both boys and girls played some intelligent, skillful hockey with Max Evans dominating the midfield. Some long passes from the seniors did feed the ball in to the circle instigating some outstanding saves from goalkeeper Max Denny.
